Cell C Inanda Africa Cup 2018 Campaign was awarded the Certificate of Excellence at the SABRE Awards Africa 2019
The Pan-African Premier Polo Tournament played at the prestigious Inanda Club in the heart of Sandton, is a unique knockout championship offering a combination of sporting prowess between competing African polo teams, glamour, fashion, entertainment and elegance.
The Cup is a display of exceptional horsemanship amongst teams from Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, with the closely contested and fast paced final witnessed by a premium audience of 3 500+ people annually and attract an audience of LSM 10+; business elite from across the continent, celebrities, VIPs, polo lovers and society figures.
Over the past 10 years, the Cup has shown an increase in Traditional PR, Digital & Social Media value across the media spectrum. In 2017, the Cup achieved R88+million, and in 2018, a giant leap, with an achieved value of R119+million; an increase percentage of 35.23% on the previous year and in 2019, R157+M.
